Woohooo! Our official first WAA Challenge!

You have seen the lovely prizes (Thanks Wicked Princesses)

It is now time to reveal our first inspirational ad!

All you need to do is create a LO inspired by this advert, and use journalling on the LO before midnight August 25th.

You may be inspired by the colours, the layout of the advert, the sentiment...anything!

To enter all you need to to is post your LO on your blog, with an explanation of how this ad inspired you and leave a link in the comments section of this post.

And here is how our amazing CT were inspired...

Lauren was inspired by the background print, the colours and has used lots of heartfelt journalling on her LO, like a letter to her gorgeous son:) Gina was also inspired by the background in the advert (its almost impossible NOT to be!) and the cuddling (how gorgeous is this photo??? How can you NOT feel the love?)

Kirsty has again used the background as inspiration and borrowed the colour combination to create this LO about her son. the journalling is again heartfelt and like a letter to her son

And wow..Lisa has created an amazing 8x11.5 LO inspired again by the background of the advert, the layout and the heartfelt sentiment.

We are really excited to see what you create, and can't wait to visit your blog to see how you have been inspired! So, what are you waiting for???? Get messy and start creating!!!!

August Prize

Our first challenge will be up tomorrow, but we thought we get everyone in the mood and show what's on offer for our very first prize.


As well as being our GCT in October, we have a "Vintage Romance" scrap kit from Wicked Princesses to give away. Full of vintage Jenni Bowlin goodness, and timeless, classic colors of red and black. There's something in this kit for everyone !! And one you don't want to miss out on. This kit is valued at $25.00

Hi, My name is Kirsty. I am married with three kidlets living in a small town in QLD. I have been scrapping for about 6 years now and seem to just get more and more addicted to it :)

Meet Lisa!

I have been scrapping for just over 6 years and really enjoy the process of putting my memories and thoughts down for families to treasure for years to come.

Journalling is a big passion of mine, I love to tell the story. I also love to get messy with paints and other mediums.

I have been published once and will be again soon, but don't really submit very much.I am currently also on the DT for Buzz and Bloom.

Meet Gina!

Over the next few days our uber talented CT ladies will be introduced to you :) Everyone is VERY excited about our first month's challenge and are eagerly scouring the universe (LOL) for inspirational ads ( no more coffee or toilet trips in the add breaks ladies!)

So friends, let me introduce you to Gina!

Hi, I am Mum to 2 gorgeous girls aged 10 and 13. I live amongst the mountains, bush and apple orchards in the Huon Valley which is south of Hobart in Tasmania. We have chooks, a dog and plenty of wildlife around.

When I'm not scrapping, I work part-time for a conservation agency, make cards and jewellery, garden and play tennis.

I've been scrapping for about 3 years and can't get enough! I find it hard to put a name to my style as it's evolving all the time, but I'm really enjoying experimenting with new mediums lately, and trying to bring in different textures through the use of fabrics, paint, tape etc..and always on the lookout for unique items to add to pages such as vintage ephemera...I also love making my own embellishments and trying out new colour combinations and techniques...the possibilities are endless!

I'm really excited about the challenges here, what a great concept! .and I can't wait to see everyone else's interpretations of the ads :)

What's this Challenge Blog About??

Welcome to the new challenge blog home for Wicked Princesses. We're very excited to be going on this journey and hope that you will join us for the ride!!


These challenges will involve a new prompt being posted on the 1st day of each month and you will have until the 25th of the month to send your entries in.


What's the criteria??
A new advertisement will be the basis for your inspiration each month. It could involve a video, a poster, shabby chic vintage, bright bold colors, anything that we can find really that's a little bit "out there" and funky.


There will also be a technique criteria required on each challenge.



What's the monthly prize??
How does a prize pack or voucher, plus a GCT spot on Whats Ad About!?! blog sound?? There will also be a rak for runner up. 1st prize will be decided by the CT, and 2nd place will be a random draw to make it fairer for everyone :)


The fabulous Kirsty Piper will be heading up our CT, and we look forward to seeing what the first challenge is on August 1st when its revealed.


Until then, we're on the look out for 2-3 talented CT artists to help us along and inspire. Be sure to get your application into us by Sunday July 19th.
